. From Babel comes our English word "babble." Under whatever name worshiped, Baal is the Sun-god.
As men moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar
and settled there.
The tale tells of humanity in the generations following the Great Flood, speaking a single language and migrating westward, where they arrive at the land of Shinar
