According to the indictment, Yamanaka received some 7.3 million yen for leaking to
Toda the city's target price for the library construction in August 1999.
The prosecutors also arrested five others on similar suspicion and searched
Toda headquarters in Tokyo, Yamanaka's home in Shimotsuma and the city government building for evidence.
Reasons for earlier fascination with the
Toda were partially aesthetic, but had more to do with the co-existence in their society of polyandry, polygyny, cicisbeism, the bow-and-arrow paternity ceremony, and marriage by capture; and above all the extremely rich and elaborate dairy ritual.
